Drop In Pickleball
Pickleball, the “fun game with a funny name”, is Canada’s fastest growing sport! It is a game that borrows rules from tennis, badminton & table tennis and creates its own rules. It has three very notable differences from those three other sports:
- the non-volley zone (aka “the kitchen”)
- the underhand serve
- the double bounce rule.
All playing times are subject to change, based on weather conditions and player availability.
We aim for either a Tuesday or a Thursday evening, and a Saturday or a Sunday morning.
Folks should email Karen to confirm playing times.

We play outdoors at Dermott District Park (on the tennis courts near the pool at 8648 81 Street), Tuesday or Thursday evenings at 7:00, and Saturday or Sunday mornings at 10:00. Beginners welcome!

(At some point in the fall pickleball moves indoors to Bonnie Doon Community Hall, 9240 93 Street, Mondays 4:00 to 5:30 pm and 7:00 to 8:30 pm.)
