There a many ways to get involved to help make Bonnie Doon an even more awesome place to live! Please review the list below and consider signing up to help out in an area that you would best fit.
Movie Night Host
Our current host is stepping down and to be able to continue offering Friday night family movies we are seeking someone to run this program. You'd get to choose the movie and tasks would include: setting up the projection equipment, setting up the popcorn machine, requesting volunteers to run the concession and bar. Graphic Design for Communications Team
The Communcations Team is looking for someone to help create banners or posters to use online on Facebook and in our newsletters. If you're familiar with using a free online design program, or even Photoshop Elements, please consider giving them a hand with this and email Nicola at communications@bonniedoon.ca
Folk Festival Parking Co-ordinator/Team
Several years ago the City of Edmonton put parking restrictions in place in Bonnie Doon during the Folk Music Festival. The Bonnie Doon Community League is tasked with the job of administering the distribution of Folk Fest parking permits. We are looking for a few volunteers to take on this responsibility. If you live in the areas north of 92 nd Avenue that are affected by the parking restrictions, please consider helping out with this important job. Please email president@bonniedoon.ca.
Neighbourhood Watch Representative
Are you interested in community safety and crime prevention? Edmonton Neighbourhood Watch is looking for someone to be the offical Neighbourhood Watch representative for Bonnie Doon. The most successful Community Reps are those that have a interest or passion in making their communities safer. The steps involved are listed here. Edmonton Neighbourhood Watch provides the training and resources at no cost to the volunteer or the community. Please email president@bonniedoon.ca if you'd like to be Bonnie Doon's representative and start the process.
