It sure does feel like spring out there so if you are inspired to do some spring cleaning, hang onto to your stuff! Bonnie Doon Community League will host a community garage sale on Saturday, May 14. We will be looking for donated items in the coming weeks (items in good condition, not clothes or junk please).
Our garage sale last year raised more than $3,700 for our new rink (Construction begins July, 2016!). For more information, contact [email protected] We are very excited about the Bonnie Doon Community League Seniors Project now underway.
Memories of Bonnie Doon Volunteers with a seniors/history sub-committee have started interviewing seniors in Bonnie Doon, recording the memories of Bonnie Dooners who have lived in the neighbourhood for some time. The goal is to interview 50 people in 2016. A big thank you to Dr. Anne-José Villeneuve from Faculté Saint-Jean who recently led a free interviewing skills workshop. We are off to a great start, but if you would like to be an interviewer or know of someone to be interviewed, please contact Margaret at [email protected] or 780.469.1179. (Note: no problem if the interviewees you have in mind are not currently living in Bonnie Doon.)
