Here is a 2-pager of Bonnie Doon news (PDF) covering September through the end of 2017. Lots of variety: first aid for kids home alone, pot luck dinner in the hall, free swimming, etc. (It's the same content as what you may have picked up at Sunday's Supper's On Us BBQ.)
 We are hosting 3 Home Alone and Kids First Aid Courses at Bonnie Doon Hall on November 19 from 10am to 2pm and Dec 3 from 8am - noon and 1pm - 4pm, for kids 10-14 years. Teacher and course materials provided by Kidproof Safety.
Through interactive lessons, games and role play, students learn to make safe choices when at home alone. Topics covered are:

This event is our largest single funding source and could bring in up to $70,000 to support community league programs. But we need approximately 40 volunteers to run the casino. Please consider helping out.
Working a casino is fun and easy. The money raised goes to programs such as youth soccer, our ice rink, Green Shack and hall improvements. You are provided with a free meal and you have a chance to socialize with your Bonnie Doon neighbors. You can choose the shift that suits you best and you can choose the job that is the most fun for you.
