Americans visiting Bonnie Doon from Arizona lost their miniature schnauzer today at 4:30pm in Mill Creek Ravine. Last seen heading north on the trails, around 88 Avenue. Heidi, the schnauzer, is seven months old and wears a pink collar. She is grey with white whiskers.

The Bonnie Doon Community League has requested that the City of Edmonton implement parking restrictions, for a portion of Bonnie Doon during the Edmonton Folk Music Festival, August 8 – 11, 2013.
Parking restrictions are being implemented during the festival to ensure safe passage for emergency vehicles, and to reduce parking congestion in the neighbourhood during the festival. On–street parking areas will be signed as:
A limited number of On‐street parking permits will be available for the No Parking – except resident with valid permit areas. Please consult the map to find out if you are eligible for a parking permit. Vehicles parked without a valid permit will be subject to tag and tow during the Edmonton Folk Music Festival. On‐street Parking permits are available for pick up at the Bonnie Doon Hall:
Please make every effort to pickup your On‐street parking permit at Bonnie Doon Hall on the dates indicated. On‐street parking permits are available on a first come, first serve basis. Whether it's the Mill Creek ravine or a canopy of green trees along a street or in a backyard, Bonnie Doon is beautiful in the summer. Bonnie Doon Community League is gathering photos for use on its website. Community league members have free admission at City of Edmonton outdoor pools. Remember to bring your BDCL membership card.

If you haven't yet renewed your membership for the current season, BDCL is offering a chance to do it at a discounted price. For the rest of the 2012-2013 season, some memberships will be priced as follows: Family 20$, Adult 10$, Single Parent Family 10$. Are your kids looking for something fun to do? The Green Shack Program at Bonnie Doon Community League is offering free, supervised, drop-in activities for kids all summer long.
The hours are from 10am to 5:30pm on Mondays to Thursdays and 1:30pm - 5:30pm on Fridays. Kids between the ages of 6 and 12 are invited to take part in the program which offers games, programs and crafts. The Green Shack Program is free of charge. It will run until August 23. The Green Shack Program is a partnership between the City of Edmonton and participating community leagues. The French Quarter Farmers' Market is off to a great start in its first season of operation!
