The Edmonton Folk Music Festival (EFMF) and Epcor's Heart and Soul Fund have teamed up to bring music to Your Street! Apply for your street: go to https://edmontonfolkfest.org/ and read info on "Taking it to the streets".
Several Bonnie Dooner's have written to us, asking about this. The EFMF wrote back to one of them...
Concerts must remain on City properties, and/or City park space. The residential format for concerts to be held on blocks and cul-de-sacs is currently the preferred venue space, as it is the safest way to respond to any health restrictions that may be in place near or during the concert. Street concerts held for communities at large that take place on park space or in parking lots will be considered, but may be cancelled if stricter health measures arise.
You are more than welcome to apply with the venue space being the Community League green space (with permissions). I will leave it to you to decide which location you think will work best for you and your neighbours considering the above points, but do encourage you to apply in some capacity.
