Casino Volunteers Needed
Bonnie Doon Community League has a casino on Wednesday & Thursday, March 23 & 24, 2016. To run the casino, we need 40 volunteers. This event could bring up to $70,000 into the community to support community programs such as youth soccer, the community ice rink, hall improvements and many other community league programs.
For those of you that have volunteered for casinos in the past, you will know that the work is easy and fun, you are provided with a free meal, and it gives you the opportunity to socialize with your Bonnie Doon neighbors. You can choose the shift that suits you best and you can choose the job that is the most fun for you. The venue for this casino is Casino Edmonton, 7055 Argyll Road.
You can sign up for the casino online now at www.volunteersignup.org/X7Q73
Fundraising for new community rink
We are just $15,000 away from reaching our goal of $200,000 to build a new community rink at Bonnie Doon Park. We've received grants from the City of Edmonton as well as the Government of Alberta in order to help achieve our goal. The existing rink is 60 years old and in need of replacement.
We are currently selling advertising along the rink boards as a fundraiser. If your business is interested in advertising or if you are an individual who would like to make a donation, please contact Stephanie Wold at email@example.com
We are hoping to begin construction on the new rink in July of 2016.
