Taste of Syria Join the Bonnie Doon Community Refugee Sponsorship Group for A Taste of Syria, a fundraiser in support of the Marees, a refugee family from Syria now living in our neighbourhood. The new date for the event is Saturday, February 9, 2019. It will feature a silent auction, Syrian food and live music. For more information or to get involved, contact Carol at [email protected].  You're invited to come paint your very own masterpiece at Bonnie Doon Hall on Sunday, December 16, 2018 and November 25, 2018. Date: Sunday, December 16 and November 25, 2018 Time: 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Location: Bonnie Doon Hall, 9240 93 Street, Edmonton. Price: $30/person, which includes all supplies The theme of the artwork is [ to be announced ]. You will receive full instruction on how to paint every step of the design, to create your own masterpiece to take home that day. Our art instructer is the talented Joey Tramer Burdziuk. Joey ran many of the art events at Bonnie Doon Centre over the past few years. Open to anyone age 12 and up. Please wear messy clothes or bring an apron. You do not need to bring anything else, supplies will all provided. You can bring your own paintbrushes if you prefer. Lots of parking available at the hall. Main doors are on the West side of the hall. Both the #8 and the #151 have stops close to the hall. We will be having another paint afternoons on December 16, so save the date! Join us at our annual Christmas Party, featuring a special visit from Santa! Date: Saturday, December 1, 2018 Time: 2 p.m. - 5 p.m. Location: Bonnie Doon Community League Hall, 9240 - 93 Street Cost: Free for Community League Members Santa and Mrs Claus will make a special visit to see the children at our party at 3pm so bring your camera and don't tell the children about this special surprise! We will have a photobooth area set up like last year, for taking a keepsake photo of your children with Santa. It will be a family-friendly event. Enjoy: - Finger foods - Refreshments - Photobooth - Visit from Santa and Mrs Claus at 3pm - Presents for the kids - Juggler - DJ and Dancing We'd love your help with the party! The board voted to make the party free for everyone and to have extra entertainment! BUT you do need to have community league membership. Memberships is $20/family or $10/individual and can be purchased at Bonnie Doon Convenience Store, or at the door when arriving for the party.
