We're late to the game re making a rink for the winter of 2023/2024. We've had turnover in our lead ice makers in the past year and a bit. One guy moved to Hinton and another began a vagabond lifestyle as a retiree! 😂
We really need a lead person to rally the troops and coordinate flooding and snow clearing. There's no need to do the flooding and the clearing but that person has to feel responsible to examine the rink most every day to decide if flooding or clearing is a good idea. Then that person has to send a text-message to the 10+ Bonnie Dooners who have volunteered to flood/clear, requesting the work be done.
That's it! And you could team up with a second person. More fun and allows for the occasional day when you can't visit the rink.
