Are your kids looking for some summer fun? Check out the Green Shack Playground Program in Bonnie Doon. The program gives kids between the ages of six and twelve a chance to join in games, sports, crafts, music, drama and special events. Children under the age of six are welcome as well but must be supervised by a parent or guardian at all times.
The Green Shack operates from 2:30 pm to 6:00 pm, Monday to Friday. The program runs until August 22.
The Green Shack Playground Program is free, paid for by the City and the BDCL.
Programs are led by staff who:
• Ensure participants play safely; parents are responsible for their children at all times and must be available in the event of an emergency.
• Are easily identifiable by their blue shirts and name tags.
• May be assisted by volunteer Leaders in Training.
• Have completed a Security Clearance process, are trained in First Aid and are certified specialists in FUN!
Programming is still available on rainy days (check the rink shack) but will be cancelled during severely inclement weather.
