Welcome to Steve Grubich who is the newNeighbourhood Connector for the Abundant Communities Edmonton (ACE) program in Bonnie Doon. He takes over from Marie-Danielle Lemm who is moving on to work on a Masters degree. Block connectors with ACE help build community through neighbourly conversations, one block at a time.
Steve tells us:
I joined your lovely community 3 years ago...I live on 88 Street between 88 Ave and 85 Ave (yes, the disappearing 3 blocks mystery...is there a story around that?) with a pair of kind overlords in the form of cats - Maddy and Jeli. I've enjoyed participating and volunteering at events...particularly over the last year. Annual BBQ, the Christmas party and Wine and Cheese fundraiser were great experiences. And kudos to the ice rink team...the ice was fantastic this winter.
I'm excited to contribute to the momentum you and Marie-Danielle have been cultivating in our neighbourhood with the Abundant Communities Initiative.
