We have had a number of requests for a babysitting course in Bonnie Doon. We asked St. John Ambulance about offering a babysitting course for Bonnie Doon youth and they said yes! We are looking at setting up St. John Ambulance's one-day babysitting course this winter. Date and cost have not been determined. The league would subsidize the cost of the course for BDCL members.
The course, What Every Babysitter Should Know, includes chapters with information on Becoming a babysitter, Caring for kids, Kids and food, Getting along with kids, Keeping kids safe, Handling emergencies and First Aid. The course handbook also includes the Babysitter’s Checklist.
